Fresh Strawberry Sorbet

Fresh Strawberry Sorbet

I have been known to go a little crazy when something is on sale.  Well I just happened to do this with strawberries the other day thinking we would eat them all, but that didn't happen.  I would normally clean them and freeze them to use in smoothies, but I had another idea.  This sorbet comes together so easily and it tastes so good.  My son doesn't get a chance to have ice cream because he is sensitive to dairy, this sorbet fills that void.  I urge you to try it next time you have an abundance of strawberries, you won't be disappointed.

Ingredients

3 pints strawberries, washed and hulled

2 cups granulated sugar

1 1/2 cups fresh orange juice

The juice from 1 lemon

The juice from 1 lime

Method

In the bowl of a food processor or blender, combine the strawberries, sugar and fruit juices.  Blend until liquid.  Pour into a container meant for freezing.  Freeze to sherbet consistency and use an ice cream scoop to enjoy.
