A Quilt for Shannon

A Quilt for Shannon

A dear friend was diagnosed with cancer in 2017.  She is in the fight for her life.  She is a big personality in our community and has many people pulling for her.  She loves St. Patrick's Day and the town has shown their support by tying green ribbons all over town.  As time went on I wanted to make sure that she knew we were all still thinking and praying for her.  I set out to create a prayer quilt for her using every green fabric in my stash.  I put together some blocks and left them in a box on my porch with permanent fabric markers.  I invited her girlfriends to stop by and write a message to her on a quilt square and to say a silent prayer while doing so.  I prayed for her as I put the quilt together and I believe over 100 prayers were said in the making of this quilt.  She brings the quilt with her during her treatments so she can feel the love and prayers of her friends during the times she needs it most.
